Opening sentence:
"A piercing sound, like a ship's horn but higher, shriller, shakes my frame."
Autant je me suis beaucoup amusée à lire le "premier tome" (Confessions of a jane austen addict), autant là...euh...non franchement... c'est mauvais.

Crossfire de Miyuki Miyabe
Phrase d'ouverture:
Excellent.

Visions of sugar plums by Janet Evanovich
Opening sentence:
"My name is Stephanie Plum and I've got a strange man in my kitchen."

Mansfield Park by Jane Austen
Opening sentence:
"About thirty years ago, Miss Maria Ward, of Huntingdon, with only seven thousand pounds, had the good luck to captivate Sir Thomas Bertram, of Mansfield Park, in the county of Northampton, and to be thereby raised to the rank of a baronet's lady, with all the comforts and consequences of an handsome house and large income."
